Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored?
All your logs, goals, journals, and scores are stored locally on your device. Thederivax does not upload your personal activity to our servers. You can export a JSON backup anytime from Profile → Data management → Export data.
How do I back up or transfer my data?
Use Export data in Settings to copy your full data as JSON to the clipboard. Save it to Notes, Files, or email it to yourself. To restore, you would need to re-import manually — we recommend regular exports before device changes.
How do I delete all my data?
Go to Profile → Data management → Clear all data. This permanently removes all local records and returns the App to its initial onboarding state. This action cannot be undone.
Why does the app ask for Camera or Photo access?
Camera and Photo Library permissions are only used when you choose to set an avatar, take a compound snapshot, or attach photos to a journal entry. You can deny access in iOS Settings; other features will continue to work.
Are simulations and scores guaranteed predictions?
No. Future simulations, compound scores, and ripple insights are algorithmic projections based on data you enter. They are intended for personal reflection and planning only — not medical, financial, or life outcome guarantees. See our Privacy Policy and in-app Disclaimer for details.
How does the personal compound model work?
After you log actions for several days, the App begins learning patterns in how your dimensions interact — mood drivers, lag effects, and ripple paths. More consistent logging improves insight accuracy. The model runs entirely on your device.
